ANTICONVULSANT
Keppra / Levetiracetam
DESCRIPTION / ACTION:
- Anticonvulsant for Traumatic Brain Injury patients.
INDICATIONS:
- TBI in the Adult or Pediatric Patient
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Hypersensitivity or allergy
DOSE:
- For adults, 1 gram IV or IO push
- For pediatrics, 20 mg/kg IV or IO push. May repeat at 40 mg/kg
- Max dose of 1 gram.
